Claire Andrews
Spiritual Director
Claire loves people and has been helping them grow since her student teaching days while earning her B.S. in Secondary Education from Clemson and M.Ed. from the University of South Carolina. She led Bible studies and small groups for years before joining the staff of Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church in Lexington, SC, as the Adult Education Director. After 12 years in that role, she served with husband Chris for 5 years as Co-Directors of Discipleship at The River Church in Blacksburg, VA. During that time, she completed the Selah School of Spiritual Direction. This 2-year biblically-grounded, cohort-based program trained her in the classic 1-on-1 practice. Spiritual direction helps persons notice where God is at work in their lives, discern what He is up to and where He may be inviting them forward in relationship and action. Claire will offer you a warm Kerith welcome, optional spiritual direction sessions and retreat plans.
Rev. Chris Andrews
Pastor
Chris has been a software engineer his entire career, and still works remotely from Kerith in that role. At age 38, God called him into pastoral ministry and he completed his M.Div. from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2015. While serving on the staff with Claire at The River Church, he mentored and discipled men of all ages and was ordained as a priest in the Anglican Church in North America. Chris offers pastoral care and spiritual formation for Kerith guests, as well as optional Communion services and confession. He also loves a good book and running at nearby Lake Junaluska.

The Andrews were high school sweethearts from Seneca, South Carolina, and have been married since they graduated from Clemson in 1987. They have 2 adult children, Laura and Wesley, and they've recently become grandparents!

Our Beliefs
Kerith is a Christian ministry. We joyfully follow Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Our spiritual direction and pastoral guidance are deeply rooted in the orthodox Christian tradition. Chris is a priest in the Anglican Church in North America (you don't have to be Anglican to be our guest), and Claire is a member of the Evangelical Spiritual Directors Association. The Anglican Jerusalem Declaration provides a summary of the biblical faith and ethics that is both our personal and organizational foundation.
